Twitch categories in November 2020

What changes did occur on Twitch during the last month of autumn? Today we'll find out the viewers' preferences in November and which categories succeeded on the platform.

Just Chatting, the unchangeable leader of our rating, only improved its results in November. Hours Watched increased by 15%, and Peak Viewers reached 1 million. The peak occurred on November 19. That day, Spanish streamers devoted their Air Time to PS5, but in general, this mark was achieved thanks to several factors, not one.

HasanAbi became the most popular streamer in this category. He mostly focuses on politics, and as the US elections were held this month, this theme was on hype.

League of Legends appeared in the second position, but its results worsened compared to October - the Hours Watched dropped by 29%, and the Viewers Peak decreased from 2 million to 345 thousand viewers. This result is evident regarding the end of Worlds 2020 and the tranquillity on the esports scene.

The month was successful for Fortnite. The game reached monthly TOP-3, despite a small decrease by Hours Watched. In November, the discipline received a lot of updates and attracted even more viewers. For example, in-game video-chat, Fortnite Crew subscription, and versions for XBOX SERIES X|S and PS5.

Fortnite's Viewers Peak grew by 26%. The game was one of the competitive disciplines at GlitchCon, and after it, the devs held Fortnite & Twitch Creators' Challenge, where viewers could support their favorite content creators and get prizes.

Among Us has lost one position. Hours Watched decreased by 29%, but the Peak rose by 22 thousand. Ibai is in the first position among streamers - 3,5M Hours Watched and 254K Peak Viewers.

Next month we can expect some Among Us improvements since Twitch Rivals has scheduled four events in this discipline.

Minecraft gained five positions this month thanks to its entertaining and competitive components. Twitch Rivals: GlitchCon Pre-Party ft. Minecraft was the most popular in the Pre-Party series.

Tommyinnit has shown the best streaming results. This month he and other Dream SMP participants waged war for L'Manberg on their role-play map. Such event gathered 249K Peak Viewers on Tommyinnit's channel.

CS:GO has returned to the 6th position mostly because of the tournaments, which we've already discussed in our blog.

World of Warcraft has achieved 7th position and increased its Hours Watched by 63% with almost a million Peak Viewers thanks to the new large-scale Shadowlands add-on. We've compared the last expansion results with Battle for Azeroth, and WoW Classic and found out which part was the most successful in this article.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War was released on November 13 and became the 17th game in the series. The new title reached the TOP-10, and everyone was interested in the new features of the latest part. But at the end of the day, the project received shallow marks from players.

You can play Warzone via Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, so streamers have a lot to do in the new game. Symfuhny became #1 by Hours Watched this month - 2,5 million.  But the predecessor of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare lost seven positions this month.

FIFA 21 went down on four positions this month. Hours Watched decreased by 22%, but this outcome is observed in almost every new title on the platform.

Apex Legends almost managed to get to the top-10, and the game finally appeared on Steam. Moreover, players received an update with the seventh battle pass, so the attention to the game was revived,

Assassin's Creed Valhalla and Demon's Souls remake appeared on our list among the new titles of this month. More details about the results of all November releases will be available in our upcoming article.

Sadly, Genshin Impact, Phasmophobia and Special Events dropped out of the November top.
