The viewership results of Vikkstar's Warzone Showdown

Over the course of the past two months, the popular streamer Vikkstar has been hosting his own Call of Duty Warzone tournaments, where the platform's other streamers fought for a prize pool of $210,000.

The series was held in duos mode and with the support of the Call of Duty League, being divided in a total of nine tournaments. Eight of these received $20,000 worth prize pools each, while the last, ninth championship was the grand final with a prize pool of $50,000.

Those receiving invitations to the list of participants of Vikkstar's Warzone Showdown were either the popular streamers of the discipline or those otherwise related to it. It means that the weekly number of viewers each time depended on the invited players.

HusKerrs and AverageJoeWo became the winners of the final tournament. The duo won a total of $30 thousand. Silver went to the team of Vikkstar123 and Rated, who earned $12.5 thousand.

Vikkstar's Warzone Showdown #1 became the series' most popular championship, gathering 278 thousand peak viewers and 215 thousand average viewers.

Such a success of the debut tournament was because of the participation of Nick “NICKMERCS” Kolcheff. The streamer received 127 thousand peak viewers and 99 thousand average viewers during the tournament – the results no one was able to match over the course of the other eight tournaments.

By the time finals were reached, not much was left of the record figures. Vikkstar's Warzone Showdown #9 (Finals) has amounted to 82 thousand peak viewers (which is a 70% decrease compared to the first tournament of the series) and 71 thousand average viewers (67% less than the series' best result so far).

The decrease in the indicators was directly affected by the list of participants. The tournament managed to receive high enough indicators only when the legends of the discipline (such as NICKMERCS или DrDisRespect) entered the fray. However, while only the strongest players remained in the final, the media presence of these particular players was not big enough.

Among the YouTube streamers, the following gathered the most viewers: ZLANER, BennyCentral, DrDisRespect and Vikkstar123 himself. Reaching the highest indicators among the four was the “Doc”, who participated in this championship a number of times – which is why he managed to reach 87 thousand peak viewers and 57 thousand average viewers.

The channels of the organizer himself, Vikkstar, as well as of the Twitch streamer known as HusKerrs were responsible for the main share of views – attracting 28 thousand and 32 thousand peak viewers, respectively.

Twitch became the most popular platform during the finals, being responsible for 68% of the competition's hours watched. It should be noted that Vikkstar himself was responsible for the remainder of the hours watched, being the only YouTube streamer. The rest of the streamers all came from Amazon's platform.
